My filmmaking origin story began with a few key projects. While a freshman at Florida State University, I wrote and produced a mid-length film called 'Damaged' in 2003 to start my career. No visuals from this project survived. This project sparked my second and most ambitious effort at the time, a drama series called 'My Brother's Keeper'. This project was filmed between 2005 and 2012 and is where I cut my teeth as a director, people manager, acting teacher, communicator, business owner and cinematographer. In 2007, I met Spike Lee while attending FSU and upon request, passed a copy of my project to him in front of a roaring crowd of 3,000 students cheering me on. The next day the Tallahassee Democrat Newspaper called to talk to me about the exhilarating moment. During this time I also shot some of my more obscure projects such as Where the Streets Have No Name (2007), BOY (2007), SoulMate (2007).
